About the Role:

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with some of the most influential companies in your region, helping them transform their businesses with real-time data. Our AEs mainly cover New Logo Enterprise sized companies and a few upper Mid Market ones.
  • Develop and execute a strategic account plan to expand relationships and unlock new opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle — from consultative conversations to closing deals.
  • This is predominantly a new logo role, whilst some existing accounts you’ll need to be a hunter with a passion for opening doors, building new relationships and expanding your network within your territory
  • Work closely with SE and tech roles, field AE, Deal Desk and Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success, etc. to ensure customers get the best experience.
  • Engage with executives and key decision-makers, helping them see the business impact of Confluent’s solutions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and develop expertise in cloud and data streaming technologies.
  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close net new logos.
  • Grow consumption in PAYG and Commit accounts (ARR).
  • Close business to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to hit your sales targets through proactive outbound prospecting, discovery, and qualification.
  • Leverage the MEDDPICC and MEP sales methodology to qualify opportunities, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive successful deal execution.

What You Will Bring:

  • A strong communicator and relationship-builder who enjoys solving problems with customers.
  • 2+ years of Experience in sales, with a strong capability and structured approach in business development, and customer engagement (we welcome applicants from a variety of industries and backgrounds!).
  • A growth mindset and excitement to learn about cloud, data, and modern software technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment, working cross-functionally with colleagues and customers.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles and working with multiple stakeholders (a plus, but not required!).
  • Passion for helping customers succeed and driving business impact.
