Job Role: Paraplanner

Full- time | Independent Contractor

Salary Budget: 1800 - 2600 AUD

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Paraplanner to support our financial planning team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs), conducting product comparisons, and performing strategy modelling in areas such as superannuation, insurance, and pensions. The role primarily involves supporting senior financial planners by providing research, analysis, and documentation to ensure seamless client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive SOAs and ROAs in line with compliance requirements.
  • Conduct product comparisons and strategy modelling for superannuation, insurance, and pension products.
  • Assist in the setup and structuring of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) for property investment.
  • Utilize financial planning software such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic for research and documentation.
  • Work closely with senior planners to implement tailored financial strategies for clients.
  • Ensure all financial plans and recommendations comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate client records and liaise with advisers to refine financial strategies.
  • Adapt to and learn new financial planning software, with training provided for Intelliflow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paraplanning role.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic (experience with Intelliflow is an advantage but training will be provided).
  • Experience in SMSF property advice, including setting up SMSFs and facilitating property acquisitions within them.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model financial strategies effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with financial advisers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
