Senior Data Engineer

Location: Waltham, MA or Bethesda, MD or Remote (USA)

About Us:

We're building the next generation of data intelligence solutions in the rapidly evolving AI and GTM space. Our team is transforming how businesses leverage data through innovative pipeline development, monitoring systems, and analytics dashboards. We believe in transparency, collaboration, and giving every team member a voice in our direction.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines handling terabyte-scale data
  • Lead architectural decisions to break down monolithic systems into microservices
  • Partner with Tech Ops, Data Analytics, and Product teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers while driving best practices in data engineering
  • Build and maintain data monitoring systems to ensure accuracy and performance

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Java/Scala programming
  • Expert-level SQL knowledge
  • Entity resolution
  • Proven track record building and scaling big data solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Kafka
  • GCP expertise (AWS exposure a plus)
  • Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow

Nice to Have:

  • Python programming skills
  • Snowflake experience
  • Data accuracy and monitoring tooling expertise
  • Experience with data normalization and standardization
  • B2B SaaS background

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • You've built and owned large-scale data systems
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative, bottom-up culture
  • You have experience working across teams and functions
  • You're passionate about data quality and system performance
  • You think like an architect but aren't afraid to code

What We Offer:

  • Chance to shape the future of data intelligence
  • Small team (6-8 people) with big impact
  • Growth opportunities as we scale
  • Collaborative, transparent environment

The Ideal Candidate:

You're a hands-on technical leader who loves solving complex data challenges. You've moved beyond just ETL to build sophisticated data pipelines that handle real business problems. You thrive in environments where you can both architect solutions and help others grow.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to own critical data infrastructure while working in a culture that values transparency and collaboration. If you're excited about building the future of data intelligence, we want to talk to you.

Note: No consulting background required - we're looking for people who understand true ownership.
