The Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to join our Market and Reference Data team!  

Market and Reference Data is part of the Data Enablement team. Our mission is to build a scalable, efficient, and high quality data platform that integrates, connects, productionizes, and distributes data content across Addepar and to our clients and partners.  

Our goal is to connect data to consumers, creating more value for our downstream clients and services, enabling data to be a language on how the Addepar ecosystem collaborates.

The Data Enablement team overall is setup to execute on operating model transition from the legacy tools and processes to a more scalable global operating model using new tools and capabilities being created by the Engineering organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Engineering, Product and Data teams to deliver high quality, timely and reliable market and reference data products and services.
  • Build and implement a market data strategy for Feeds and Entitlements bringing both a commercial and operational perspective to developing end-to-end features. 
  • Analyze and develop solutions to improve market data operations and better tie Market and Reference data into Addepar’s products and services.
  • Use your understanding of our existing and external market data models to describe key workflows and write technical requirements on how to transform raw market data into functional content on our platform.
  • Understand Addepar’s products and clients. Using these insights, work with counterparts within the business to drive new and innovative opportunities to improve client experience. 
    Contribute to the evolution of Addepar’s master financial concordance solutions to better serve our clients and cement Addepar’s role as the best-in-class integrator of market traded and alternative asset investments.
Who You Are
  • Extensive work experience and education that demonstrate proficiency in product management and user workflows
  • Domain expertise regarding market data processing and entitlement workflows, security mastering, and financial products as well as strong knowledge of the financial data ecosystem.
  • Experience with building and launching commercial data products within financial services.  Understanding of data governance practices.
  • Ability to work cross functionally, particularly with engineering, operations, and GTM.
  • Practical knowledge of agile thinking and lean practices; creative (non-dogmatic) with project approaches, willingness to experiment, and ability to guide teams toward activities and processes that best suit project goals
  • Ability to identify the appropriate tools and techniques to accomplish objectives
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to query data to find answers to product questions.  Experience with Python and Databricks is a plus.
  • Ability to set your team up for success through leadership, sense of urgency, accountability, and initiative.
  • Ability to partner with a variety of stakeholders (from highly technical to non-technical business colleagues) and work in a cross-functional setting.
