Job description

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

The features you work on will help shape how Public Safety works and contribute to making society a safer and more trusting place. This role will build and launch highly complex, cloud connected, premium SW features for Axon's in-vehicle camera product line. In the role you'll own all aspects about a product feature's launch. You'll ensure its design resonates with customers, work with engineering to maintain a high quality bar, and work with the broader business to ensure Axon's products are competitive in the market.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remotely from anywhere in the United States, preference for location at Seattle WA, Scottsdale AZ, or Boston, MA. Limited travel required (once/month)
Reports to: Director of Technical Program Management for Devices R&D
Direct Reports: None

  • Monitor hardware and software quality and review customer satisfaction for products at scale (100K to 1M users)
  • Make data driven product decisions, using a mix of CSAT, product telemetry, and sales/marketing data
  • Work with autonomy, building relationships across Support, Sourcing, Sales Ops, and many other groups throughout a business. Form the connective tissue for how the team will operate within Axon.
  • Partner with Quality teams to resolve unexpected HW quality degradations. Help prioritize escalations, quarterback during highly critical issues, and help guide cross-functional team goals based upon customer expectations.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Sales Ops to drive regular refresh of HW components.
  • Triage and prioritize feature improvement requests from existing customers. Engage in VoC sessions to translate customer needs into well crafted product requirement documents, work with engineering to define costs, prioritize amongst a multitude of competing needs, all while managing customer expectations through clear communication.
What You Bring
  • You have a Bachelors degree in Business or STEM fields.
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of product management experience. Bonus if you’ve worked on IoT devices, intelligent cameras, cloud SW, or public safety technology.
  • You’re an excellent communicator. You can deliver simplified guidance to executive leadership and detailed vision to your PM peers and engineering teams.
  • You’re a skilled executor who has a spirit of OWN IT. You’re comfortable flexing and owning items outside your swim lane when needed. You’re also comfortable spotting and driving processes that need improvement, making the business more efficient.
  • You can understand technical complexity and are able to communicate well while you work with engineering during a feature’s development. Bonus points if you understand technologies behind cloud connected IoT device, cameras, or AI driven workflows.
  • You’re obsessed with your users and customers. You’re familiar with customer satisfaction measures (NPS/CSAT) and are able to synthesize customer feedback into meaningful product changes.
  • You are not afraid to Aim Far and think BIG with feature ideas. When you do, you can effectively simplify your product concepts when needed. And you are able to elaborate all its little details to give enough clarity to make the feature a reality
