Could you be our new Contracts & Rights Assistant? Are you?

  • Able to work independently in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Familiar with Microsoft tools including Excel.
  • Comfortable communicating with a variety of partners both via email and in person.
  • From a background in publishing (desirable but not essential).

Your new role:

  • This role assists the Contracts & Rights team in order to help them maximise revenue and efficiency. This role will maintain internal databases and processes to ensure the team can work effectively.
  • Handle Global Licensing Database updates and ongoing maintenance including Sharepoint.
  • Collate information related to Quarterly title Updates in order for Associate Director, Global Rights & Licensing to communicate information to partners.
  • Communicate Book Title Updates to Reprographic Rights Organisations and respond to rights queries.
  • Communicate author share allocations to Copyright Australia to allow accurate revenue division.
  • Liaise with content provision teams to ensure partner feed requirements are met.
  • Download and report usage statistics for team analysis.
  • Download and record Licensing payment breakdowns to ensure accurate revenue allocations.
  • Support Books Translations Team with sending high resolution files and ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Assist with Book Fair preparations and arrangements.
  • Sending translation copies to authors for the Books Translations team.
  • Assist with managing internal Contracts database to ensure all contracts are updated and logged.
  • Maintain the Legal Agreements Database for Sage non-US contracts and matters.
  • Track journal contract template changes, maintaining records
  • Ensure timely accurate storage of signed journal contracts
  • Maintain database of journals/societies which have contractually opted-out of permissions handling.
