About the role

Telstra’s in-house creative agency is seeking a Designer/Presentation Specialist with expertise in presentation design and motion graphics to elevate enterprise campaigns, corporate communications, pitches, and high-impact digital content.

This role will be responsible for transforming complex information into visually engaging, high-quality presentations and motion content, ensuring all assets align with Telstra’s brand identity and storytelling principles.

Sitting at the intersection of graphic design, digital storytelling, and motion design, this role will collaborate closely with business development, marketing, and leadership teams to produce compelling presentations, data visualisations, and animated content that enhance audience engagement and understanding.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Designer/Presentation Specialist you will develop high-impact presentation materials that transform complex data into engaging visual storytelling, produce motion graphics and animations, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure business-critical presentations and pitch documents are clear, persuasive, and visually compelling.

Your core responsibilities:

Presentation Design & Visual Storytelling

• Design high-quality presentations in PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote, ensuring clarity and visual impact.
• Translate complex ideas, strategies, and data into clear, engaging slides and infographics.
• Develop dynamic templates for recurring business needs, ensuring easy customization while maintaining brand consistency.
• Ensure presentations are visually engaging and structured for storytelling, optimizing layout, typography, and colour.

Motion Graphics & Animation

• Create motion graphics and animated assets to support key presentations, pitches, and digital content.
• Develop short-form animated videos and slides, bringing corporate narratives and marketing messages to life.
• Enhance internal and external presentations with subtle animations, transitions, and video integrations.
• Ensure motion content is optimized for digital platforms, including social, web, and internal communications.

Data Visualisation & Infographic Design

• Design clear, impactful visual representations of complex data for business reports, pitches, and presentations.
• Develop interactive elements and dynamic infographics that improve audience understanding.
• Work closely with marketing and business development teams to ensure data-driven storytelling is engaging and effective.

Brand Consistency & Creative Excellence

• Maintain Telstra’s brand identity and design standards across all presentation and motion assets.
• Ensure all presentation materials are on-brand, compelling, and strategically aligned with key messaging.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance the visual quality of high-priority internal and external communications.

The successful candidate will have:

• 3-5 years of experience in graphic and presentation design
• Proven ability to design compelling, brand-aligned presentations that drive engagement and clarity.
• Strong background in motion design, animation, and digital storytelling.
• Experience in data visualisation, infographics, and corporate storytelling.
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects, managing tight deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Figma and other presentation platforms.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign).
• Experience with motion design and animation tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Understanding of corporate branding, typography, and layout design.
• Familiarity with interactive presentation tools and emerging digital storytelling trends
