The Data Platform Engineer for Radiometer is a key member of our Data and AI team, staying at the forefront of automating business processes through digitalization and playing a pivotal role in our strategic initiative to enhance data-driven decision-making across the company. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Poland and have the legal authorization to work in the country.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable Azure based data platform.
• Develop and implement data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage of large datasets.
• Optimize data platform performance, ensuring high availability and data quality.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools via Terraform.
• Implement and maintain data security and governance policies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platform issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data platform technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of data platform documentation and standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid foundation in engineering best practices and design patterns.

• Strong experience in designing and developing scalable, reliable, and efficient data platforms.

• Strong experience in designing and developing integrations.

• Knowledge of data engineering principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferably you also have:

• Experience with building tools and libraries.

• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and Dagster.

• Experience in creating products within BI, Machine Learning Models, or other related functions.
