Job description

Product Owner – Product Management

Location: Remote – Flexible within or near Metro Manila, PH

Salary: PHP 750,000 – 1,050,000 per year

Travel: Occasional visits to Quezon City or Pasay offices for internal meetings

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our ebs team in Manila. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our UK-based product team and Manila-based engineering team, ensuring seamless collaboration across time zones and cultures while maintaining high-quality product delivery.


What You’ll Do

  • Be the primary product representative for the Manila engineering teams, providing real-time guidance and acting as the first point of contact for product-related decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with UK-based product colleagues through regular sync-ups and async communication to align product vision, strategy, and requirements.
  • Optimize communication and collaboration processes between UK product teams and Manila engineering teams, ensuring smooth workflows.
  • Lead and actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, driving Agile best practices.
  • Identify and remove blockers for engineering teams, ensuring efficient progress.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Foster cultural understanding between teams to enhance communication and collaboration.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across different time zones, providing transparent progress updates.
  • Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation, ensuring team efficiency and optimal workload distribution.
  • Ensure product roadmap priorities are well-communicated and aligned with global strategy.

Experience

  • Previous experience in education technology or student support environments is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Previous experience in a bridging role between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems or similar software solutions.
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams.
  • Scrum certification (CSPO, PSPO, or similar).
