The Data Management Services (DMS) team provides exceptional outsourced learner data management services. We specialise in supporting users of Tribal Learner Management Systems software, EBS and Maytas. Our clients range from Local Authority Community Learning teams to small Further Education (FE) colleges and independent training providers. We're committed to simplifying data management and enabling educational institutions to focus on their goal of educating and inspiring learners.


This is a great opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel(around 1 visit per month) to our Sheffield office, as well as the opportunity to work anywhere in the world for up to 8 weeks!


The Role

As a Senior MIS Advisor, you will be joining a team and assuming responsibility for a number of clients, ensuring they feel as though you are part of their team and providing best practice and support in preparation for submission of their Individual Learner Record (ILR). Your general responsibilities will include:


  • Ensure that customers submit error-free and compliant Individual Learner Record (ILR) funding claims by using error validation tools and processes like DSAT and FIS.
  • Offer advice and guidance on applying funding rules to guarantee compliance and maximise funding for customers.
  • Employ monitoring, tracking, and quality control tools such as Remedy Force, ISO procedures, and workspace trackers to maintain an auditable record of all activities and issues.
  • Advise customers on best practices for using Tribal software alongside other systems and processes to streamline operations, achieve efficiency gains, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training, system demonstrations, and guidance to users through face-to-face interactions, telephone calls, conferencing software, or webinars.


The Skills you’ll have:

  • A thorough grasp of the principles behind the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) funding rules and compliance.
  • Experience in managing learner data within a Further Education or Work-Based Learning environment.
  • The role requires a high level of customer service and partnership with our clients.
