Unified Mammography Services focuses on providing our patients’ convenient access to important screening and diagnostic services allowing for personalized breast care by giving the OB/GYN direct access to radiologists, technologists, and office staff. The VP of Breast Imaging Services is responsible for the ongoing operations and financial performance of the breast imaging services for all Unified mammography and breast ultrasound locations. This position will be responsible for the Breast Imaging strategy, focused on the value proposition for Unified physician practices, and supports the operational needs of the program. Enables the growth of the business unit through the identification of new breast imaging opportunities and development of business plans to drive new opportunities and to build new partnerships necessary to meet the growth goals. Responsible for providing operational, financial, quality, and strategic leadership for the program.
This leadership role works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the program is provider-patient-focused and consistently provides value to the organization and communities we serve. The VP of Breast Imaging Services will build a culture that provides a high degree of customer service and responsiveness and lives out the programs values of challenging convention, embracing accountability, improving constantly, collaborating willingly, valuing the team, compassionate care for others, and safety for our patients.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership in imaging services operations, utilization, information technology strategy, new installations, and other initiatives. Along with the Ancillary Division President develop and implement strategic goals and objectives. Develops positive ongoing relationships with individuals at every level of the organization including imaging services staff members, peers, market leadership and management, medical staff members, and key decision makers
Collaboration on identification of new breast imaging opportunities and development of proformas to locate potential locations. Synthesize multiple sources of information to develop a coherent understanding of market opportunities, emerging customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
Management of breast imaging budget, including volume projections, budget development and financial performance in accordance with budget. Maintains and updates key metrics for leadership review.
Develops, actively monitors, and reports out on Key Performance Indicators and Metrics.
Creates a professional atmosphere and an environment of coaching and development that supports a high level of employee satisfaction as evidenced by survey responses.
Acts as leader, mentor, and role model in the provision of excellent customer service and professionalism
5 years leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; or leadership experience in complex healthcare system or high-volume environment. Imaging leadership experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems related to multimodality image capture and management.
Up to 40% travel required to attend meetings and meet with breast imaging staff.
Financially astute - ensure reliable and consistent reporting and forecasting of budgets, creating and review of financial analysis/proformas and management of P&L statement.
A skill set of creating an environment for change, negotiating, or collaborating with a win/win frame of reference.
Highly developed organizational skill and the ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously with on time completion.
Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others internally and externally.
Detailed understanding of PACS utilization in a healthcare delivery organization preferred.
Experience with managing multiple projects and activities, including experience with medical group practices; experience with OB/Gyn practice management is a plus.
