Job description

The Role


The MaryRuth’s Supply Chain Assistant is a key member of the Supply Chain team, supporting supply chain operations through processing orders, driving smooth and order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate records and databases. The ideal candidate has a background and demonstrated experience in supply chain and/or logistics and can comfortably work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time (40h/week), hourly, non-exempt, remote position. The compensation for this role is $9-10 USD/hour.

Responsibilities


  • Verify orders from customers, including entering and processing orders in NetSuite, checking to ensure inventory for each order, and validating pricing and ship from/to locations.
  • Track orders during the entire lifecycle (order release to billing) and resolve issues that may come up during this time.
  • Record order data and information on department trackers and spreadsheets as well as in NetSuite.
  • Assist in resolving any issues that come up with warehouses or inventory.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, such as downloading labels, creating acknowledgments, and monitoring fulfillments.
  • Communicate with various sales channels, warehouses, and internal teams regarding inventory, back in stock dates, transfer orders, and out of stock products.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.


Qualifications


  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain, logistics management, data, or related field.
  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, or related area (preferred but not required).
  • Excel proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient with excellent time management.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping helpful.
  • Ability to effectively complete independent and team-based work.
  • Proactive in finding, communicating, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ability to think critically and find solutions.
  • Adaptability to changing processes and priorities.
  • Team-focused; strives to learn and grow within a company.



Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • This role involves sitting most of the time, but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
