Job description

Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Data Steward. Responsible for focusing on datasets within a subset of data domains, working closely with Shipt business partners to make sure our data meets their complex needs. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience collecting business requirements, reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business systems, user needs and translate these into functional specifications. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) writing, modifying, enhancing, testing, debugging programs using Informatica, Java, HTML, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Windows, Linux; (2) creating and modifying the PL/SQL Procedure, Function, Triggers according to the business requirement; (3) transforming data from source systems to presentation layer and eventually building Enterprise Data Warehouse on Cloud Platforms/Databases. Developed various data mappings/Pipelines using combination frameworks including Pyspark, Pandas by leveraging transformations/methods including Aggregators, Filter, Joiner, Lookup, and Regular Expressions. Build and standardize data quality around these data marts to monitor data from various dimensions including Accuracy, Completeness, and Consistency; (4) documenting ETL test plans, test cases, test scripts, test procedures, assumptions, and validations based on design specifications for unit testing, system testing, expected results, preparing test data and loading for testing, error handling and analysis; and (5) UNIX shell scripting, CRON, FTP and file management in various UNIX environments. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Telecommuting available from anywhere in US.
