About The Role

At Tropic, we have built an industry-leading team of procurement professionals, helping our customers get the right software for the best possible price. As a member of the Procurement Specialist team, you will be the lynchpin of the negotiation management process, helping our team of negotiators process requests for software purchases as seamlessly and efficiently as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for completing key tasks in the contract negotiation process. This will require communicating and coordinating with software suppliers, our customers, the Tropic Customer Success Team, and the Tropic Procurement team. This role will report to the Procurement Specialist (PS) Manager.

What You'll Do

• Monitor all contract negotiation processes from start to finish for the customers you are assigned to
• Leverage our proprietary software platform and workflows to help manage and complete contract negotiation requests, including completing key steps (e.g., information gathering, coordinating signatures, etc.) Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Customer Success team and Procurement team to make sure customers’ contract negotiation needs are being met efficiently and on time
• Be the “source of truth” on our customers’ needs and priorities for negotiations
• Demonstrate competence, professionalism, executive presence, integrity, and humility
• Help deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  
  

What You’ve Done

• Experience in procurement, B2B technical support, customer success, or other customer-facing roles
• Strong written communication skills (e.g., e-mail, slack)
• Proven attention to detail, time management, and ability to stay organized
• Ability to adapt and excel at a high-growth startup

Compensation

Specific to pay transparency laws, the annual salary for this position is $60,000 to $68,000 and will include incentive stock options, and benefits. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
