About The Team

Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.

The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

  • Greeting all visitors and facilitating the visitor induction procedure (including logging all visitors and issuing visitor passes)
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls and direct each call to the appropriate ARTC representative in a timely, professional manner to ensure a high level of customer service as required
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies (including stationary and binding supplies) to ensure they are adequately stocked
  • Management and facilitation of office maintenance audits and Audits Register
  • Process invoices for payment in ARTC’s financial accounting system, ensuring timeliness and accuracy as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other administrative employees as required sharing common administrative tasks and ensuring their timely completion
  • Monitor and maintain the presentation and serviceability of company pool cars and arranging cleaning and servicing on a regular basis and as required

  • Knowledge of or an awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to use judgement and discretion in the dissemination of information
