Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Professional Radiology Assistant to join our outsourced BPO team, providing remote support to healthcare facilities, radiologists, and medical professionals. The ideal candidate will assist in managing radiology-related tasks such as report documentation, communication with physicians, and providing essential administrative support. This role plays a vital part in ensuring seamless workflow and effective coordination between the radiology department, healthcare providers, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Call Management & Communication:
    • Connect and transfer calls between radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
    • Call and relay critical and noncritical exam results to the Emergency Department (ED), primary care physicians, and other relevant medical staff.
    • Notify radiologists immediately of code stroke calls and ensure swift communication for timely intervention.
    • Receive and answer incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and other departments.
    • Answer and respond to emails related to radiology reports and scheduling.
  • Report Documentation & Data Entry:
    • Document and manage radiology call reports, maintaining accurate records of patient communication and exam results.
    • Fax reports to the appropriate medical staff, ensuring that all critical information is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Monitor and follow up on pending reports, ensuring that critical results are prioritized and communicated promptly.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Providers:
    • Act as a liaison between the radiology team and other departments, ensuring smooth communication and quick resolution of any issues related to imaging procedures or reports.
    • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure accurate data sharing and timely updates on patient care.
  • Radiology Workflow Support:
    • Assist with handling incoming medical team queries related to patient results.
    • Help manage radiology scheduling tasks, ensuring that imaging exams are properly scheduled and coordinated between the hospital, radiologists, and patients.
  • Technical Support & Quality Assurance:
    • Provide assistance with basic troubleshooting of radiology systems and reporting software to maintain smooth operation.
    • Monitor radiology workflow to ensure that services are provided in a timely and efficient manner, meeting quality standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferably a College Graduate.
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, Health Administration, or related field is a plus.
  • At least two years BPO experience.
  • Prior experience in a medical office, customer service, or administrative role is preferred.
  • Experience with call management, report documentation, or administrative support in a medical setting is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working in a BPO or remote support environment is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and document call reports accurately.
  • Comfortable answering calls and responding to emails in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and using office software.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
