Position Overview

BizFirst is supporting our client in search of a full-time Acquisitions Analyst III to support the MODPROT program with acquisition lifecycle management and cross-functional program execution. This role requires deep knowledge of programmatic planning, sustainment, fielding, and disposal of materiel solutions. The ideal candidate will bring experience advising on project strategies, identifying logistics capability gaps, and supporting the Government Lead with acquisition documentation and stakeholder engagement. This position is suited for professionals with strong technical insight, excellent communication skills, and a strategic understanding of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense programs within a Joint environment.

What You will Do:

As an Acquisitions Analyst III, you will provide end-to-end support to acquisition programs, including requirements generation, lifecycle logistics, materiel fielding, and sustainment planning. You will help coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, analyze operational gaps, and develop acquisition documentation to inform leadership decisions. You will support the development and execution of program strategies, advise on technical requirements, and ensure program activities align with mission goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support acquisition planning, logistics gap identification, requirements generation, fielding, and sustainment across CBRN programs.
  • Support one or more acquisition programs with programmatic and technical management analysis and coordination.
  • Assist the PM and Director of Acquisitions in identifying logistics capability gaps and generating solutions across the full acquisition lifecycle.
  • Apply knowledge of total lifecycle management principles from requirements generation through fielding, sustainment, and disposal.
  • Serve as a subject matter advisor on acquisition processes, project management techniques, and sustainment planning.
  • Develop acquisition documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objective (SOO), Requests for Proposal (RFP), memorandums, and issue papers.
  • Assist in technical assessments, logistics demonstrations, user working groups, and validation exercises.
  • Develop and maintain long-range acquisition and sustainment plans aligned with Government objectives.
  • Monitor program milestones, generate sustainment reports, and track action items to completion.
  • Conduct cost analysis and performance assessments across the product support lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with DoD, Joint Services, NATO, and other agencies to ensure integrated supportability and program alignment.
  • Interpret and apply acquisition doctrine, technical specifications, and policy documents.
  • Support classified meetings and documentation requirements in secure facilities (SCIF), including SIPRNET communications.
  • Lead briefings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.
  • Contribute to trade-off analyses, CONOPS/TTP development, and integration of emerging technologies into CBRN defense programs.
  • Travel up to 25% to support program activities and stakeholder engagements.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and Word) to generate documentation, briefings, and reports.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of DoD Chemical, Biological Defense Program (CBDP) experience supporting acquisitions and requirements planning and development.
  • Subject Matter Knowledge: Minimum 5 years of experience applying DOTMLPF within Army and Joint Force environments.
  • Strategic Planning: At least 3 years of experience developing strategic plans and interfacing with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience supporting classified operations and secure communications.
  • Certifications (Preferred): DAU Program Management or Logistics Management (Professional Level) or civilian equivalent.
