About the Role:
3E is looking for a regulatory reporter who will be responsible for covering the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policy, legal developments, and voluntary guidelines by regulatory bodies, industry groups, and associations in Europe.
As a Regulatory Reporter at 3E, you’ll play a key role in helping our clients stay ahead of critical developments that impact compliance and sustainability strategies.
Working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, you will research and write topics related to restricted substances, packaging, labeling, and storage requirements well as sustainability with a focus on the supply chain.
As a key member of the EMEA News team, you will attend press meetings, conferences, and other events in Europe and elsewhere, gaining relevant “hard news” promptly and writing features that provide in-depth analysis for 3E clients.
What You'll DoResearch, report, and write timely, accurate, and insightful news stories on key regulatory developments, laws, and industry shifts.Explore emerging trends in sustainability, particularly those impacting supply chain practices, and translate complex regulations into clear, actionable analysis.Focus on areas such as REACH, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulations — turning complexity into clarity for our clients.Attend press briefings, conferences, and key industry events (in-person and virtually in the EMEA region) to stay ahead of what matters most to our clients.Deliver timely, accurate “hard news” updates and craft engaging, in-depth feature stories that offer perspective and strategic insight to our global audience.Collaborate closely with 3E’s editorial teams to shape impactful content across platforms, contributing to cross-sector intelligence.Partner with product and commercial teams to align news content with customer needs and help drive engagement across our broader suite of compliance solutions.Contribute to special projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.What Makes You A Great FitBachelor’s degree, ideally in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.At least 3 years of experience reporting or writing accurate, well-researched, and impartial news or feature stories.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, with an ability to meet tight editorial deadlines with consistent quality.Working knowledge of the European Union’s legislative and regulatory processes, particularly in EHS, chemicals, or sustainability-related sectors.Ability to research and distill complex regulatory topics into concise, accessible reporting.Strong sourcing skills — an ability to proactively build networks and cultivate trusted relationships with experts and stakeholders.Comfortable speaking, moderating, or presenting at internal and external forums, including industry events.Demonstrated ability to track and anticipate regulatory and policy trends.An analytical mindset and a flair for creating data-driven, insight-rich stories that inform business decisions.Ability to work in an evolving, global environment and make a direct impact on the content.Disclosures:
