Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, and/or five (5) or more years of an equivalent combination of education and experience with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field preferred.
• Advanced experience with full stack development (FSD) methodologies and practices, relational databases and stream-sequential data files (text and binary), shell scripts vs. executable (binary) programs, batch and scheduled task-processing environment, data transfers, including FTP vs. SFTP (and other secure variants), configuration files, data-driven design (vs “hard-coded” design), source code controls/pedigrees, program/system builds, production release and quality assurance
• Strong working knowledge of Apache and PHP, particularly with Laravel and other modern frameworks.
• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
• Good working knowledge of relational database concepts (normalization, indexing, cost of queries, etc.).  Experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Highly adaptable and able to meet, prioritize and manage competing demands, rapidly evolving events and changing priorities.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and self-starter.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Internet access provided by a cable or fiber provider with 40 MB download and 10 MB upload speeds.
• Home router with wired Ethernet (wireless connections and hotspots are not permitted).
• A designated room for your office or steps taken to protect company information (e.g., facing computer towards wall, etc.)
• A functioning smoke detector, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit on site.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel and PHP.
• Review, analyze, and modify programs/systems including encoding,
• Code, test, debug and document software solutions.
• Provide ongoing programming and documentation support for new and existing applications and systems.
• Work on Windows Server platforms and cloud environments.

• Report all modifications, changes, and/or deletions of programs, systems, and/or data to departmental supervisor and/or director for approval prior to execution.
• Make recommendations based on knowledge of systems and current technology available in the industry.
• Determine impact of project/system creation/modification to other systems and projects.
• Determine additional hardware and software requirements for systems and project creation/modification.
• Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate person for correction.
• Work with the Company’s end-users to determine needs and project qualifications.
• Provide limited direction to the user community under the guidance of the supervisor.
• Provide accurate estimates on time requirements.
• Manage time, daily tasks and objectives to accomplish department goals and objectives.
• Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.

• Maintain internet speed of 40 MB download and 10 MB upload and router with wired Ethernet.
• Maintain a HIPAA-compliant workstation and utilize appropriate security techniques to ensure HIPAA-required protection of all confidential/protected client data.
• Maintain and service safety equipment (e.g., smoke detector, fire extinguisher, first aid kit).
• All other duties as assigned.
