Position Title: General Merchandise Manager

Reports to: VP - Digital Operations

Location: US - Remote. With travel to US college campuses as necessary. (Roughly 3 days/2 nights of travel per month)

Contract type: Permanent, Full-time

Position Overview

The General Merchandise Manager (GMM) is responsible for shaping product strategy and overseeing the selection, procurement, and merchandising of diverse product categories. This role is essential in driving revenue growth, optimizing profitability, and managing inventory efficiently across our existing campus stores, and new campus customers. Working closely with customers, vendors, and across BibliU teams, the GMM curates compelling product assortments that align with market trends, customer preferences, and the company’s financial objectives



What you will be doing:

  • Working with our established merchandise partners to order GM for our existing and new campus stores

  • Working with store teams to ensure relevancy and store specific merchandise needs

  • Building relationships with new GM providers, to grow our lines of GM

  • Working on process and system improvement to assist BibliU in scaling our GM offering

  • Being creative with ways to modernise the campus store experience

  • Actioning SKU and product changes in our GM management system

  • Working between our product & GM team to improve the BibliU built tooling  

  • Meeting new BibliU partners to establish GM needs, and ordering GM accordingly

  • Travelling to new BibliU partners to view the campus store

  • Analyse sales and order data in order to present valuable insights and strategic recommendations
