Position Overview: 

As part of the talented Brunswick Product Protection (BPPC) team, you will supports the claims and customer service functions and is responsible for administering extended service contracts and processing claims based on technical knowledge and our policy terms and conditions. We are looking for a candidate who is professional, organized, a strong communicator, and capable of contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. This role is open to candidates seeking a remote work opportunity.

Essential Functions: 

  • Participate in the effective and accurate adjudication of marine engine and accessory warranty claims.
  • Determine claims based on stated terms and conditions governing program benefits.
  • Follow established guidelines on when to escalate situations to the Claims Manager.
  • Understand our program terms and conditions thoroughly.
  • Master BPPC’s operating systems.
  • Communicate effectively with BPPC dealers, service advisors, customers, and team members.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service.
  • Perform customer service functions consistently, including data entry on extended service contract originations, transfers, cancellations and maintain appropriate controls per company policy to ensure data integrity.
  • Respond to Tier 2 customer service calls, assess the situation, make program decisions, and know when to delegate 'up' for resolution.
  • Assist in processing files from financial service providers and OEMs and running monthly and weekly reports.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
  • Contribute to our Direct-to-Consumer sales initiatives.
  • Opportunity to assist in product development over time.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • Technical marine (or adjacent) background; Knowledge of boat engines and accessories
  • Working in a marine service department environment
  • Strong knowledge of superior customer service.
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and organizations skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior warranty or financial service business experience desired. Ability to interpret an extended warranty contract a plus.
  • Experience in a role similar in size and scope to BPPC.
  • Proficiency in French is desired but not required.

Working Conditions:  

  • This role is open to candidates seeking a remote work opportunity. 

The anticipated pay range for this position is $49,700- $78,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus .

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
