Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions is seeking a Software Developer!

This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Creates software applications with input on design to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers
  • Maintains, fixes and enhances existing software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers
  • Creates test plans and unit tests and executes those for applications
  • Follows code review and testing processes, procedures, and plans
  • Write documentation in code and issue tracking systems that supports other team members
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on coding standards
  • Follows safe data handling practices and processes
  • Follows secure coding practices
  • Follows Quality guidelines and procedures
  • Performs work in a timely manner
  • Communicates status to technical lead or manager
  • Follows established processes
  • Participation in mentoring less experienced staff
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead
  • Off hours and on call duties as necessary

Your Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in software development .NET, C#, SQL, Azure, Jira
  • Experience in debugging, testing, and maintaining complex software applications
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Establishes and maintains good relationships with internal and external teams

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Experience with VB6, OpenText Exstream, Compart, Solimar, Object Oriented Development


The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
