We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the financial management and reporting processes for our U.S.Nigeria, UK and Canadian entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial insights.


Responsibilities


Monthly Financial Statement Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for the U.S. and Canadian entities.
  • Identify variances and trends, providing actionable insights to management.


Transaction Management

  • Regularly post transactions in the accounting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial data.

Management Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management reports to support decision-making.

    Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights.


Consolidated Financial Statements

  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring all inter company transactions are accounted for accurately.
  • Support in eliminating discrepancies and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multinational or multi-entity organization.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
  • Strong understanding of financial consolidation and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
