Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Trade Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team! This is a remote role based in the UK.

This role will create and execute annual trade marketing plans to improve recommendation, availability and visibility of our brands and products across the Irish and UK Optical, Pharmacy and Ophthalmology markets.  This role will report into the Senior Marketing Lead and work closely alongside the Marketing, Key Account Managers and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

·       Create and execute annual customer marketing strategic plan aligned with the brand strategy

·       Develop and execute personalised marketing campaigns for identified key customers and manage the implementation of the plan, including sell-in materials, campaign material development, internal and customer communication

·       Define customer campaign KPIs in conjunction with sales lead; set up performance tracking and review regularly

·       Execute regular customer visits with KA’s & the sales team to gain insight on customer/consumer needs; to ensure the effectiveness of the activities, plans & materials developed; and to create a solid partner cross department relationship

·       Be the trade expert for marketing across Irish and UK Optical, Pharmacy and Ophthalmology markets.

·       Work in cooperation with Brand Managers to identify and develop how new product launches and marketing campaigns can be maximised in store

·       Identify opportunities for brand enhancement in customer and activate where agreed with the Marketing Lead

·       Work with Key Account Managers to identify & leverage customer insight for brand growth

 

Managing Go-To-Market Activities

·       Develop campaign briefs for approval by Brand Lead / Marketing Lead

·       Accountable for project managing and leading day-to-day on all assigned campaigns with both internal & external stakeholders to meet deadlines.

·       Set clear KPIs and identify performance measurement plan

·       Champion the knowledge and achievement of all key brand/customer metrics within the business

·       Deliver all plans within budget

·       Deliver necessary assets for sales team in support of launches and campaigns and in collaboration with brand manager.

·       Input to agency relationships to deliver campaign performance

·       Present customer performance to MLT

Qualifications

·       University degree qualification or equivalent in Marketing, Business Management or a related field – desired

·       5 years marketing experience minimum 2 years in Trade Marketing role. 3 years of medical device, pharma, OTC, or consumer health experience.

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·       Proven experience within commercial functions, ideally Marketing, Sales or Trade Marketing

·       Understanding of the Irish & UK Optical, Pharmacy and Ophthalmology market an advantage.

·       Strong Project Management Skills: Brings key stakeholders in to deliver projects on time and within budget

·       Experience of independently managing third party agencies

·       Experience of cross-functional working

·       Able to analyse data to develop commercial insights and recommendations

·       Strong communication skills - interacts with people at all levels of authority; tailors’ messages to audiences and effectively presents to individuals and group audiences

·       Self-Motivation - able to work independently and proactively on own initiative and demonstrate strong business acumen and decision making

·       Teamwork: Team player and excels at building relationships with customers and colleagues
