We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated coding professionals to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate must have a CPC certification and at least 3 years of Risk Adjustment coding experience for Medicare Advantage and Medicaid (full code capture) services. The position requires one to be resourceful, organized, and extremely driven.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Code medical records to validate ICD-10-CM codes for Risk Adjustment
  • Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation
  • Meet customer and AAPC production and quality standards
  • Prepare oral and/or written reports of work activity to Project Lead
  • Be responsible and accountable for maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information. Follow HIPAA security policies and procedures affecting your job, and report any suspected or actual violation or breach
Experience You’ll Need:
  • Minimum 3 years of coding and/or auditing Medicare Advantage and Medicaid (full code capture) risk adjustment experience
  • Extensive ICD-10-CM coding, particularly with Risk Adjustment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to “own” your assignments and see them through delivery
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven attitude
  • Ability to think critically and determine the best method for completing tasks
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, EMR systems, Risk Adjustment software, and internet)
  • Ability to multitask and keep a sense of urgency
  • Strong time management, organization skills, and work ethic
Certification Requirements:
  • CPC with CRC preferred
Expected Work Volumes
  • Work volumes will vary depending upon projects
