The Internship
As a Competitive Market Assessment Intern, you will lead an assessment of the competitive market landscape from multiple perspectives, including product type and positioning, technology offerings, and value propositions. This role will collaborate closely with the Strategy, Product, and Business Development to analyze industry trends and competitive dynamics.

  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis (50%)
  • Conduct in-depth market research to evaluate competitors' product offerings, pricing strategies, and positioning.
  • Identify key differentiators and trends shaping the solar and energy storage industry.
  • Synthesize data into actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Technology & Value Proposition Assessment (50%)
  • Analyze emerging technologies in the solar and energy storage sectors.
  • Evaluate the value propositions of competitors and identify gaps in the market.
  • Provide recommendations on potential opportunities for differentiation and innovation.

  • Who You Are
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a strong ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings clearly.

  • Experience You’ll Need
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in competitive market analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience That’s a Plus
  • Knowledge of the solar energy or energy storage industry.
  • Experience with industry research tools and frameworks (e.g., SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces).
  • Familiarity with product positioning and value proposition development.

  • Program Details
  • We plan to have this role start around the beginning of Summer 2025 for two months
  • Ideal working hours would be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PST
  • You will work on 1-2 well-defined projects throughout the internship and will present at the end of the program

  • Compensation

  • Compensation: Our internships offer a competitive hourly wage of $20 per hour. Interns will be paid biweekly and are expected to work 40 hours per week, based on program requirements and availability.
