Job description

Position: Payment Expert
Number of hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: BST

Tasks required:

  • Process and monitor online payments, ensuring smooth and secure transactions.

  • Support the integration and maintenance of payment gateways (e.g., local bank transfers, Revolut, PayPal, Stripe, Square).

  • Assist in resolving payment issues, chargebacks, and disputes.

  • Monitor transactions for fraud, errors, and compliance risks.

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and security standards (PCI DSS, GDPR).

  • Analyze payment data and suggest process improvements.

  • Collaborate with finance and customer support teams on payment-related matters.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging payment technologies.

  • Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned would be related to payment processing and customer account management


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in payments, banking, or fintech.

  • Familiarity with payment gateways, online transactions, and fraud detection.

  • Understanding of financial regulations and security compliance.

  • Experience with chargeback management and payment reconciliation is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Must have working experience with banks and payments

  • Knowledge of basic accounting is a must

  • An understanding of accounting best practices is necessary

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g., MS Office, Google Suite) and with financial database

  • Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and independently

  • Clear and concise communicator with effective English verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly adaptable to changing circumstances and priorities

  • Inquisitive mindset, eager to learn and explore new payment technologies and systems

  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate across departments.
