Job Overview 

The EDS Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of business intelligence and reporting initiatives within the organization. This role involves working closely with business teams to gather and document requirements, translating them into user stories, and developing robust data models to enable insightful analytics. The Analyst will collaborate with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement of BI solutions.

This entry level role is perfect for an analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex data problems, ensuring high-quality reporting, and bridging the gap between technical development and business needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze detailed business requirements for new BI and reporting initiatives.
• Document requirements and translate them into actionable user stories for the development team.
• Design and develop data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure the successful implementation and deployment of BI solutions.
• Test and validate BI deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements and provide meaningful insights.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and manage ongoing support.
• Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain clear communication with all project team members and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably within a business intelligence or reporting function.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes/tools, and BI reporting tools (e.g., QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data insights for business audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to deliver high-quality work.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum).
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of data engineering tools and techniques (e.g., dbt, Glue, Python).
• Experience working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Athena, Databricks, RedShift).
• Understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.

Education:                         

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
