Job Description

What Does A Director, Medical Writing Do?

The role of a Director, Medical Writing involves leading the creation of high-quality medical content and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this position: 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the development of medical and scientific content for various promotional materials, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations. 
  • Ensure all content is scientifically accurate, clear, and compliant with industry regulations. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of medical writers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality output. 
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure timely delivery of projects. 
  • Review and approve medical content to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. 
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes for all medical writing activities. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on medical writing projects. 
  • Understand client needs and provide strategic medical writing support to meet their objectives. 
  • Stay updated on the latest regulatory guidelines and ensure all content complies with relevant regulations. 
  • Provide training to the team on regulatory requirements and best practices in medical writing. 
  • Work closely with other departments, such as creative, account, and strategy teams, to integrate medical insights into campaigns. 
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to provide medical expertise.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $119,000 to $176,00 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
