Job Description Summary:

The Senior People Business Partner (Sr. PBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within Rocket’s Sales organization. Reporting into a Senior Principal People Business Partner, this role serves as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership and provides strategic People support while driving key people initiatives. The Sr. PBP acts as an employee champion, culture carrier, and change agent while ensuring the execution of core People processes. By leveraging data, People expertise, and business acumen, the Sr. PBP delivers solutions that support organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of People fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly assess and respond to business challenges. They will have a passion for understanding the needs of their business partners and be able to create solutions that drive meaningful results. The individual will enjoy collaborating with various stakeholders with a strong focus on driving projects to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership, providing guidance on People policies, programs, and best practices to drive employee engagement and performance.
  • Advocate for an exceptional employee experience and champion a values-driven culture.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including internal investigations, corrective actions, performance management and coaching, ensuring compliance with business and legal requirements.
     
  • Partner with Sales leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning to support business growth and transformation.
  • Execute critical People processes, including performance reviews, compensation and promotions planning, and talent development initiatives.
  • Lead change management efforts related to company-wide and Sales specific initiatives.
     
  • Analyse People metrics and workforce data to provide actionable insights and influence business decisions.
     
  • Collaborate with People functional partners (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, People Ops, L&D etc.) to align People programs with the needs of the Sales organization.
  • Drive strategies that promote an engaging employee experience.
  • Act as a culture carrier, modelling and reinforcing the company’s values.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of People experience, with at least 5+ years as a People Business Partner or related advisory role supporting a Sales organisation.
  • Proven experience in coaching and influencing senior Sales leaders
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity is critical.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, People best practices, and employee relations case management.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into business-aligned People strategies.
  • Experience supporting global teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-wide People initiatives.
  • Proven capabilities with the MS Office Suite.
  • Experience of Workday preferred.
