Velocity Black by Capital One harnesses the power of artificial intelligence, the warmth of human experts and the convenience of the latest interfaces to help high-performance people actualise the full potential of their lives. It's concierge, reimagined for the digital age.

By harnessing 24/7 chat, AI, and mobile payments, we help our customers do more and be more in the digital age. From access to the hottest restaurants to guaranteed upgrades at the world’s finest resorts. Make a custom request through the app and you will be chatting to our team within 1 minute, 24/7/365.

What unites us are the values we share: the relentless pursuit and celebration of excellence, actualising the full potential of our lives, and impacting the world in a positive way.

We are seeking a Junior Designer to join our growing design team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Creative Director to bring the Velocity Black lifestyle to life through the Velocity Black app, social channels and our soon-to-launch digital magazine. The candidate will primarily be responsible for researching, selecting, and preparing visual assets. They will also collaborate with members from the internal content team to launch weekly email newsletters. They will also be expected to work across ad-hoc jobs such as internal presentations.

What you’ll do

  • Research, select, and re-touch high-quality visual assets to accompany content ideas for the VB mobile app, social media, and Velocity Black Magazine.

  • Prepare and edit visual assets to meet the company's high standards using Figma and Adobe Suite.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure visual assets reflect the company's aesthetic and storytelling.

  • Experience commissioning third-party photographers or illustrators a bonus but not required.

  • Assist with tactical tasks such as creating presentation decks and PDFs.

  • Create newsletters as needed; a good knowledge of MailChimp is preferred.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and visual storytelling. You have the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines as well as have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team. Ideally we’d like you to have some experience working with MailChimp, Figma, and Adobe Suite.

In this role, the designer must be adaptable and possess excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with the team and deliver high-quality work in a timely manner. Overall, the designer will play a vital role in creating visually appealing and impactful design assets for various platforms.

Note: Depending on the candidate's experience, there may also be opportunities to work on digital projects such as web or mobile app design. If you have a passion for luxury experiences and storytelling through visuals, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to work with our team at Velocity Black.
