Job description

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 3% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.

Account Specialist I - Remote, 6:00am-2:30pm PT

The Account Specialist will serve as a single point of contact to preferred clients and assigned field team members for samples processing in house – including communication regarding missing documentation, delays, changes, and customer-specific and field rep-specific questions. This concierge style service will be customized to the clients’ preferred methods of communication. Excellent and timely customer service is a hallmark of the program. 

Essential Functions

  • Support all Ambry staff and departments by streamlining outgoing requests
  • Provide support to preferred clients in a timely and professional manner 
  • Respond to incoming requests from the field team in a timely fashion, answering their questions thoroughly or professionally directing them to the appropriate internal resource
  • Understand frequently asked questions and responses regarding Ambry products and processes, utilizing resources as needed
  • Document client interaction within Ambry systems completely and thoroughly
  • Maintain follow-up work lists as assigned
  • Routinely monitor and audit order statuses, providing executive support and analytical reports to preferred clients and Account Executives
  • Work towards mastering an understanding of Ambry products and processes to accurately answer questions, seeking clarification regularly from others to ensure comprehension
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge 

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Possesses a high school degree or equivalent work experience
  • College degree is preferred

Technical Competencies (Skill, Abilities and Capabilities) 

  • Excellent telephone and communication skills. Capable of excelling within a team environment. Capable of accomplishing workload and additional projects with no supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively, attention to detail, ability to prioritize work, working knowledge of standard office equipment (printers fax machines, phone systems, office software and internet)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and Ambry requisitions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one, in group settings, with clients and with employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Preferred

  • Previous experience in health care or clinical laboratory administration
  • Previous experience in the customer service field

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
