POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead IT Process Engineer is responsible for understanding, collecting, and reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end for large, enterprise-scale projects and providing support of on-going programs and initiatives. The Lead IT Process Engineer will tackle complex, strategic projects for the Information Technology department. This position is a proven business professional with extensive knowledge in process engineering, business strategy, processes, and applications with a strong technology acumen working in a fast-paced environment. (Formal title: Lead IT Business Analyst - Process Engineering) 

WORK SCHEDULE:

This role is offered on a fully remote basis allowing the Lead IT Process Engineer to be based anywhere in the country.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide business analysis techniques to peer analysts and recommend/implement improvements in the process engineering and business analysis areas;

  • Full process engineering and business analysis ownership of tasks, projects, and programs in all IT domains of the portfolios;

  • Identify, create, and facilitate complex process design changes by conducting business and system process analysis one or more major initiatives and/or several minor initiatives, simultaneously;

  • Elicit and document user, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements including developing current and future state maps and workflows;

  • Perform detail analysis of current and future state processes through pattern recognition and process conceptualization and document conclusions and recommendations;

  • Analyze and evaluate existing processes, applications, or workflows;

  • Create personas through research and user interview sessions;

  • Facilitate large requirements-gathering workshops with multiple stakeholders;

  • Develop process improvements for current or potential business processes and review existing applications to identify opportunities for improvement;

  • Create user requirement specifications, business requirement documents, software requirement specifications, solution specifications, future state proposals and/or use case diagrams, user stories, epics, and initiatives depending upon project strategy approach (Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall);

  • Create business analysis plans, data migration plans, integration plans, and test plans/scripts;

  • Execute test scripts documenting actual results;

  • Develop and iterate on full-scale mockups, wireframes, visuals, and prototypes;

  • Identify impact to other solutions, applications, or projects and work with stakeholders to recommend options;

  • Provide and support the implementation of system deployments, system conversions, upgrades and enhancements throughout the execution lifecycle;'

  • Lead user-facing demos, design evaluations, and trainings;

  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices;

  • Regular and reliable attendance;

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

General Qualifications:

  • Excellent experience in Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall environments;
  • Proven ability to own strategic analysis responsibilities in new domains;
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills leading multiple business analyst efforts at a given time;
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors and stakeholders and consulting with peers and team members;
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives;
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands;
  • Research business analysis best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results;
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management;
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff;
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Power Platform, Smartsheet;
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products;
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
  • A minimum of eight (8) years previous process engineering or business analysis experience in a healthcare IT setting;
  • Professional Business Analysis (PBA) and/or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred;
  • Other Professional Certifications a plus.

Able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner.  Able to work well with others.  Detail-oriented and organized with a high level of integrity, including maintenance of confidential information.  Able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.  Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule (including some evenings on occasion). Must pass a background check and drug screen.
