Product Designer

We’re looking for passionate and dynamic Product Designers to join Juniper! As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for ideating, sketching, and designing a wide range of products that appeal to each client’s particular branding and audience. 

This role entails the design of products for client merchandising to be sold on online storefronts, making it a key component to shaping the visual identity and customer experience of our clients' brands. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are both creative and commercially successful, while also meeting client objectives and maintaining high design standards.

About Juniper

Juniper is a crowdfunding and merchandise platform for independent creators. We don’t just run the funding platform (like Kickstarter), we also create the actual products, launch on creator-branded storefronts, and ship to customers! Juniper has enabled creators to crowdfund specialized products like board games and lava lamps, and fund passion projects like animated shows and charitable initiatives. Areas You’ll Own

• Design Work – The designer will be responsible for creating innovative product concepts, preparing sketches and finalized designs that align with branding and launch goals. They will also develop technical manufacturing drawings for factory production and design packaging that reflects brand direction and product vision.
  
  
• Collaboration – The designer will collaborate with the design team to ensure project completion, maintain design cohesion across product concepts, and support launch ideation during brainstorming sessions. They will also assist with other projects as needed, stepping in for absent or busy team members, and proactively check in with Design Leads to provide support during slower periods.
  
  
• Timelines – The designer will ensure timely completion of tasks and projects to support the efficient coordination of team efforts. They will communicate proactively when deadlines are unrealistic, ensuring clear expectations are set.
  
  

Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing proven experience in illustration and character design
• Experience in graphic design is a bonus
• Strong communication skills with immediate and cross-functional teams to ensure a clear understanding of expectations, feedback is integrated, and solutions are delivered on time
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Google Suite
• Strong ability to think creatively and generate unique, innovative concepts
• An understanding of the creator economy with respect to new and trendy products across a variety of platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, etc.).
