Jr Web Developers work closely with broader project teams that include UX, Design, QA, Project Management, and Implementation resources. Expert knowledge of front-end web development, strong interest in back end development, master prioritization skills, attention to detail, versatility, and enthusiasm for client success are cornerstones for this role. Candidates should bring a consultative approach and a "whatever it takes" attitude to ensure client success.

PLEASE NOTE - You must reside in, and have a permanent right to work status for, Costa Rica to be considered for this position. Candidates living in other countries cannot be considered at this time. Also, due to the international nature of this role, candidates must be fully bilingual English.

  • 5.      Integration of HTML slices into an in-house CMS (Content Management System)
  • 6.      Website quality assurance
  • 7.      Test compatibility on different operating systems and browsers

  • 9.      Manage a backlog ensuring timely completion of tasks assigned to you
  • 10.   Follow standards and maintain documentations
  • 11.   Develop and maintain any approved CMS customizations

  • Experience using browser developer tools to debug front-end issues with styling and logic errors.
  • Experience with tools and techniques for optimizing load times, rendering performance, and efficient asset management.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Experience with advanced CSS techniques, including, but not limited to Flexbox, Grid, Media/Container Queries, Custom Properties, and animations.
  • In-depth understanding of modern JavaScript features such as async/await, closures, higher-order functions, and the event loop.
  • Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques, including lazy loading, code splitting, and asset optimization.
  • Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals and the techniques to build with deference to them.
  • Solid understanding of the principles of progressive enhancement.
  • Ability to read and interpret error logs to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent time management and time tracking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL server scripting (stored procedures) and management
  • Knowledge in HTML 5, CSS 3, Mobile-First Responsive Design and other HTML/CSS standards or techniques
  • Knowledge in ASP.NET MVC, Razor
  • Familiarity with Adobe XD
  • Familiarity with Photoshop (e.g. basic image slicing and graphic modifications)
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or JavaScript libraries or frameworks (e.g. jQuery, AngularJS) is a plus
  • Microsoft Certification(s) or other job-related skill certification(s) is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server / Visual SourceSafe is a plus
