Position Overview:
As a IT Operations Lead you will lead the charge in developing and implementing innovative solutions that streamline IT operations, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. You will be responsible for leading bi-weekly scrum meetings, serving as a point of escalation for the IT Operations team, and driving the successful deployment and enhancement of IT systems. Your technical leadership will be crucial in managing the capacity of IT systems to accommodate growth and changing demands, and in ensuring timely resolution of IT incidents with minimal disruptions to services.
What You'll Be Working On (Duties include but not limited to):Lead IT projects, including full project management responsibility, related to the deployment and enhancement of IT systems often focusing on large scale operational upgrades. Develop and implement automations to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency. Manage and monitor overall operations to ensure seamless support for IT systems. Perform advanced troubleshooting, handling escalations, to diagnose and resolve problems and major incidents, escalating to the vendor as needed. Provide orientation and guidance to administrators on how to manage new systems/applications. Plan and manage the capacity of IT systems to accommodate growth and changing demands. Lead bi-weekly scrum meetings and serve as a point of escalation for the IT Operations team. Maintain server and cloud maintenance schedule (software updates, hardware life cycle, etc.) without impacting enterprise productivity.Participate in the hiring and onboarding of IT staff members.Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Physical Requirements: This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment and requires the ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment. Travel Requirements:This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role. Type of travel required: National What You Bring (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities):4+ years’ proven experience as a Systems Engineer (or related) role. 3+ years of experience with enterprise customers, preferably as a subject matter expert. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication ability. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. In-depth understanding of diverse systems and networks, including cloud platforms. Demonstrated proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365. Demonstrated proficiency in large-scale endpoint systems administration. Demonstrable understanding of risk management, internet security, and data privacy principles. Knowledge of HIPAA, GCP, and other regulatory standards. Certifications, Education, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field, or equivalent experience. Microsoft Certifications with a focus in Microsoft 365 and Azure are strongly preferred.
