About the Role: The Framework Team at Snapsheet is driving explosive growth in our offerings through maintaining a unified platform approach. They develop foundational solutions that power claims operations, vendor integrations, and overall platform scalability. Their work includes front-end libraries, API standardization, low-code/no-code configurations (e.g., custom fields), and self-service UI customization for clients.

Collaborating closely with other teams, the Framework Team ensures a consistent, standardized UI experience across the platform. As the Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the team in defining architectures and solutions that span our entire cloud platform. You'll drive major initiatives while fostering strong relationships and guiding the team's ongoing success.

What you will do as an Engineering Manager: 

  • Manage and contribute to upcoming projects including, but not limited to: 
    • Leading a platform UI unification initiative in order to empower a next-level user experience.
    • Expanding and enhancing our UI customization capabilities.
  • Coach and mentor a team of high powered engineers.
  • Write code in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality.
  • Collaborate with other development teams, product management and design to identify and solve challenging, cross-domain problems.
  • Contribute to platform-level technology, architecture, strategy and decisions.
  • Coordinate, scope and execute on large initiatives.
  • Play an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology.
  • Partner with our internal recruitment team to screen, interview and hire top talent.

What we are looking for: 

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field 
  • 5+ years of full-stack web development experience 
    • Designing and building APIs
    • Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
    • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
    • Prior experience using back end languages, Ruby on Rails a plus
    • Prior experience using front end web frameworks 
  • Minimum two years experience in an engineering manager, team lead, or lead developer-like role. 
  • Nice to haves:
    • Previous work in a cloud product/platform preferred but not required.
    • Previous platform team experience (or experience on a team that builds software for developers).
