Job description

Senior Accountant (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

Record, reconcile, and maintain all general ledger activity related to Work in Progress (WIP) and Deferred Revenue.
Partner with the firm’s BPO partner to oversee the accurate and timely recording of North America payroll entries, including salary, fringe, bonus, sign-on, commission, and severance costs.
Prepare weekly and monthly supporting schedules for the firm’s Accounts Receivable Securitization facility, working closely with Treasury to ensure all schedules are provided on time.
Maintain the firm’s global G/L cash balance schedule, reconciling amounts with global Treasury cash balances and ensuring compliance with internal bank reconciliation policies.
Review North America Prepaid schedules for completeness and accuracy in collaboration with the staff accountant in Mumbai.
Prepare and/or review supporting workpapers for external auditors in connection with the annual audit process.
Oversee the Balance Sheet Control Matrix, ensuring Account Reconciliations are completed and approved within established timelines. Conduct quarterly audits of key reconciliations for compliance assurance.
Partner with Finance stakeholders to ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Requirements:

5 - 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
CPA certification (strongly preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (preferred) and Advanced Excel skills (required).
Strong understanding of GAAP and detail-oriented approach.
Proven ability to drive process efficiencies and problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while collaborating with teams to meet deadlines.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior management.
