About the Opportunity

A dedicated individual working alongside a team to program, implement, and test functional and technical design requirements provided by the technical lead or development lead.

Responsibilities

• Implement project requirements using the specified language and frameworks.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify weaknesses and errors and design solutions to address these issues.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Resolve intermediate to complex technical issues arising from client interactions or internal Gluo projects.
• Support the Technical Lead in designing components assigned for development, if required.
• Conduct testing on implemented components.
• Document implemented components.
• Ensure the quality of developed products.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages: Java 11 or higher, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS, SQL, NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Advanced knowledge of the Spring Framework, including subprojects such as: 

• • Spring Reactive (WebFlux)
  • Spring Data
  • Spring Security
  • Spring WebFlux
  • Spring Boot

• Experience with other Java frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA, JUnit, etc.
• Familiarity with application servers like Netty, Apache Tomcat, Jetty, Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat WildFly (JBoss), Geronimo, or GlassFish.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript frameworks or similar, such as React or Vue.
• Experience with build and project management tools: Maven and Gradle.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: SCRUM and Kanban.
• Knowledge of deployment and container technologies, including: 

• • Docker
  • Swarm
  • Kubernetes

• Understanding of concepts such as: 

• • Reactive programming
  • Functional programming
  • Circuit breaker pattern
  • Secure development

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux.
• Ability to gather business requirements and transform them into technical designs.
