Field Service Engineer

On-site Engineer / Field Support Engineer

Job Purpose

Traveling both within the Uk and overseas, you will provide service and upgrade work in customers’ sites, for our aftermarket department.

Main Duties

  • Provide hands-on mechanical / electrical field support, for the full range of EMEA equipment
  • Ensure: general service visits, inspections, equipment refurbishments, re-builds and upgrades, relocation of customers’ existing equipment and customer training…
  • Troubleshoot and repair system failures or malfunctions,
  • Help with installation or technical support, if needed
  • When required, supervise other engineers onsite
  • Write service reports and document all maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide feedback on market information, customers comments

Candidate Profile

  • Mechanical background, with ideally electrical skills as well - hands-on profile
  • Experience in installation or maintenance of complex equipment, lines of production,
  • Willingness to travel (at short notice) and work on customer sites both in the UK and overseas - valid Driving License.
  • Experience of Food equipment and process would be appreciated
  • Customer focus with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing external or internal customer relationships
  • Good problem-solving techniques using an analytical approach
  • Ability to work alone but still be part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel).
