Job description

This is a remote position.

This company is seeking a talented Visual Designer to join their growing team, someone with a passion for design, usability, and user experience. You have an eye for creating great-looking websites that align with client branding and the skills to bring those designs to life. A strong understanding of the latest industry trends and best practices is essential to enhance our clients' websites. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Customer Success and Design teams, focusing on revising client websites and creating assets to support customer requests related to Social Media Marketing, Reviews & Reputation Management, Search Engine Marketing, and Local Listings Management. The Visual Designer must have knowledge and expertise in WordPress. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, take direction, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
  • Revising client websites and creating assets for customer support requests related to Social Media Marketing, Reviews & Reputation Management, and Local Listings Management. 
  • Work closely with the Design and Customer Success team members to design custom WordPress websites for our clients. 
  • Together with our Onboarding Project Managers, you’ll work with our clients to understand key information about their business, their design preferences, and marketing goals. 
  • As part of the Design Team, you’ll offer our clients inspiration and web design advice on best practices to help avoid design and usability issues in the future. 
  • Communicate clearly and effectively articulating your design decisions with the team. Be open to constructive feedback, knowing that collaboration will only improve the final product for the client. 
  • Design websites that incorporate important concepts into design such as Search Engine Optimization, conversion science, ADA & WCAG compliance, and usability. 
  • Design responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktops. 
  • Work with in-house Development team when needed to deploy websites. 
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in web design.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience building customer-facing websites. 
  • 1+ years experience working in digital design with an emphasis on digital assets and website creation (front end). 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art Design/Web Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent.
  • Experience working with WordPress and page builders, particularly Elementor. 
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or any other visual design and wire-framing tools.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your knowledge and experience in web design. 
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS. 
  • Strong understanding of design concepts such as mobile-first, responsive, hierarchy, color, typography, layout, interactivity, grid systems, UI, and UX. 
  • Ability to incorporate other important concepts into design such as SEO, conversion science, ADA & WCAG compliance, and usability. 
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details. 
  • Ability to receive and learn from constructive feedback.

Benefits
  • Salary: $1500 - $1800 Monthly
