We are the leading Veteran Health provider specialising in delivering exceptional services to the veteran community in all stages of their return to civilian life. In this pivotal role, the Lead NP will be working alongside medical practitioners performing medical assessment and consultations to veterans prior to our qualified Doctors performing their consultations and reports to DVA.

Responsibilities

  • Collate and obtain veteran clinical information through telehealth consultations.
  • Provide recommendations to GPs to assist in condition diagnosis and causation.
  • Assist in the preparation of medical assessment reports for GP completion.
  • Educate clinical and administration team.
  • Lead and contribute to a dynamic team of clinical (4 RNs and 2GPs) and administrative support staff (4ppl).
  • Implement effective frameworks and systems to drive operational and clinical excellence.

Successful Applicant will have

  • AHPRA Nurse Practitioner endorsement
  • Exceptional clinical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in a broad range of medicine, including but not limited to: Veterans health, General Practice and mental health
  • Intermediate computer skills: Halaxy, Adobe and Microsoft preferred
  • Proven leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
