    • Job Advertisement: Business Development Manager

      Location: Remote (Anywhere in South Africa)

      Salary: R25,000 - R30,000 per month

      Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (UK Time)

      Job Type: Permanent

      Company Overview

      Our client is a well-established provider of nursing staff to various NHS and private healthcare organisations across England, Wales, and Scotland. Operating via government frameworks and preferred supplier agreements, the company services NHS trusts, GP practices, urgent care centres, care homes, schools, and more. As the business continues to expand, we are recruiting a Business Development Manager to support and drive further growth across both public and private sectors.

      Key Purpose of the Role

      The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities by engaging with potential clients and promoting the company's services. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a sound understanding of the UK healthcare system. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping business development strategies and forming strong relationships with clients, internal managers, and framework authorities.

      Key Responsibilities

      New Business Development

      • Liaise with internal managers to understand current staffing and client needs.
      • Research and plan business development strategies based on internal insights.
      • Generate leads through cold calling and outreach across public and private sectors.
      • Attend virtual client meetings and agree on commercial terms.
      • Draft and present client meeting notes to managers and the Managing Director.
      • Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximise long-term opportunities.
      • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients.
      • Engage with framework authorities to resolve queries and enhance partnerships.
      • Present monthly new business performance reports to the Managing Director in line with KPIs.

      Client Engagement & Internal Collaboration

      • Work closely with internal departments to ensure new contracts are effectively implemented.
      • Understand the company's strengths, service capabilities, and candidate spread.
      • Collaborate on strategic plans to give the business a competitive edge.

      Key Requirements

      Essential Experience & Knowledge

      • Minimum of 2 years sales experience in a B2B environment engaging with senior managers.
      • Proven experience in drafting and delivering impactful presentations.
      • Demonstrated leadership experience in a business development or sales role.
      • Commercial awareness with a clear understanding of the competitive healthcare landscape, including NHS Improvement Agency Caps and supply frameworks.
      • Familiarity with vendor models such as Master Vendors and Neutral Vendors.
      • Sound understanding of the UK healthcare system and its structure.
      • Experience with client databases and CRM systems.
      • Good knowledge of UK geography and healthcare organisation types.

      Performance Indicators

      • Secure 4 new clients monthly across public and private sectors.
      • Conduct a minimum of 2 client meetings per month.
      • Hold monthly performance reviews with internal managers.
      • Meet monthly with the Managing Director to provide updates and set new objectives.

      Additional Requirements

      • Own equipment and laptop required for work purposes.
      • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in healthcare, education, or life sciences sectors.
