ABOUT THE ROLE

REPAY is a fast-paced, FinTech company experiencing significant growth and expansion.  We're seeking an execution-focused Product Owner to help drive the product roadmap both strategically and tactically, focusing on growth initiatives to support business objectives. This role will provide leadership for product initiatives from requirements definition through launch, engaging with engineering teams and business stakeholders to define requirements and drive delivery.   This role is an opportunity to be an integral part of a team with high visibility and responsibility within the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, Sales, Technology, Operations, Finance and key customers to drive product innovation and roadmap decisions
  • Identify market opportunities and align the product vision and strategy by ensuring a rolling four quarter product roadmap view, reviewed and published on a quarterly basis
  • Team up with external partners to identify and implement new integrated solutions
  • Close competitive product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share.
  • Actively engage with cross-functional teams to execute on integrated roadmap capabilities and Go-to-Market (GTM) efforts
  • Improve the customer experience and drive product and channel penetration with existing clients.
  • Maintain an expert level of product and solution knowledge for the Business Payments vertical

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 5+ years Product Management experience in payments and financial technology with progressive responsibility OR a similar level of domain expertise in the technical aspects of integration with ERPs.
  • The ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and stories.
  • Understanding of the U.S. payments ecosystem (card, ACH, checks) and Enterprise Accounting Systems
  • Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology and engagement with technical engineering teams
  • Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
  • Effective communication across all levels of the organization and a spirit of building strong business and team relationships is essential
  • Well-organized and thorough approach; able to structure, analyze, and answer technical and business questions, balancing multiple requests and competing priorities
  • Candidate must be highly adaptable and experienced working in a dynamic work environment

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Ability to build requirements based on business stakeholder input and translate requirements to user stories for engineering team execution.
  • Agile/Scrum Product Owner certification or equivalent experience
  • ScrumMaster certification or equivalent experience
  • ETA and/or AAP Certified Professional
  • Pragmatic Framework experience
  • Familiar with Agile process management tools such as JIRA
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
