Senior QA Engineer 

Remote, Full Time (Toronto, ON)

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, to identify and resolve defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze test results, provide detailed reports to stakeholders, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with developers and product teams to validate functionalities and ensure compliance with requirements/product backlog items.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs, and monitor bug resolution efforts.
  • Perform cross-browser, functional, and data validation testing.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Document processes and other quality assurance activities.
  • Work in an agile environment for quality assurance and releases during 2-week sprints.
  • Investigate production issues referred by users or editorial and support staff and perform scheduled post-release QA validation off-hours during deployments.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers.

Who You Are: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working experience with Defect and Test Management Tools like JIRA and TestRail.
  • Experience with executing manual testing.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and interacting with SQL databases.
  • Hands on experience with automation test tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JMeter etc.
  • Working experience with GitHub.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
