Description

Here’s an opportunity to help build the brand-new Exam Management Department. As a Specialist in the department, you will work on state and Agency exams covering UHM origination and servicing activities and other exams (i.e., annual BSA/AML, MERS, warehouse bank due diligence, etc.).

You will be responsible for stacking files per the examiner’s instructions. You will interface with Partners throughout the organization to gather documents, reports and responses to fulfill the examiner’s request. You will be responsible for reviewing documentation before it is submitted to the state/agency to ensure UHM is providing what is being asked for. You will help create exam responses.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stack files requested as part of an exam in the order requested by the examiner
  • Interact with fellow Partners to gather requested exam-related documentation
  • Review written responses before submitting them to the examiner to ensure it articulates what specifically is being asked
  • Review gathered documentation compared to the request list to ensure UHM is providing everything that the examiner has requested
  • Retain all exam documentation in an organized and logical manner
  • Maintain and evolve the Exam Library
  • Assist the Exam Manager in drafting exam responses
  • Assist the LOB in identifying ways to correct exam findings
  • Transition corrective action monitoring to Internal Audit once the exam is completed
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years’ experience: Mortgage Processor, LOA, Mortgage Servicing experience or previous mortgage exam experience

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong knowledge of mortgage origination and/or servicing documents
  • Encompass knowledge desired, not required
  • Black Knight knowledge desired, not required
  • Working knowledge of Federal and state regulations preferred
  • Working knowledge of Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA and USDA guidelines preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
  • Ability to set deadlines and stick to them
  • Ability to get others to take action
