We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to be part of our customer's AWS Team, driving transformation and innovation within their cloud infrastructure. This is a role in migrating from a traditional hosted stack to a cloud-based environment, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency.

You will have technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to challenge ideas constructively. We need someone who can debate technical approaches, take ownership, and get things done.

Key responsibilities & duties include:

Mentor within the DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Migration and optimisation from a traditional hosted stack to a cloud-first environment.
Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation strategies using Terraform and AWS.
Develop and enforce cloud security best practices, ensuring a highly secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure.
Troubleshoot complex system interactions, identifying and resolving issues across networking, security, and operations.
Optimise infrastructure costs and ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
Drive best practices in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps tooling.
Work closely with Development, Test, Operations, and Release teams to align infrastructure and application needs.
Implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system stability and uptime.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer in a DevOps/SRE team within a AWS cloud environment.
Expertise in Linux, AWS, and Terraform.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
Hands-on experience with networking, identity & access management, and cloud security.
Ability to work across multiple systems, understanding how they interact.
A strong troubleshooting mindset—not focused on assigning blame but on solving problems.
A self-starter who enjoys working on complex technical challenges.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
