Key responsabilities:

  • Compile and analyze historical financial data and financial statements from sellers.
  • Process monthly trial balances and ensure data reconciliation with financial statements.
  • Build Excel databooks to analyze quality of earnings and assist with valuation of target firms.
  • Perform quality control checks on Excel databooks and assist with ad hoc financial analyses.

Job description

Join Aprio's Corporate M&A Team and you will help the business continue to grow through mergers and acquisitions. Aprio, LLP is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Transaction Advisory Analyst to join their dynamic team.  

Position Responsibilities:
  • Compiling and analyzing historical financial data/financial statements provided by sellers  
  • Processing monthly trial balances and general ledger data to ensure sellers’ detail data reconciles to financial statements  
  • Building Excel databooks and core schedules to analyze quality of earnings and net working capital trends and assist with valuation of target firms  
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial due diligence analyses (e.g. client retention and profitability trends, cash proof of revenue, proof of payroll, etc.)  
  • Assisting Corporate Development team with other ad hoc responsibilities (e.g. initial model setup, request list tracking, etc.)  
  • Performing final quality control checks on Excel databooks to ensure clerical accuracy with a fine attention to detail  
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain quality under tight timelines 

  • Qualifications:
  • Active CPA license or equivalent (or in process of obtaining) preferred  
  • Prior experience in Transaction Advisory or comparable accounting role preferred   
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent interpersonal and technical accounting skills  
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills   
  • Displaying adequate knowledge of US GAAP   
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment   
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple assignments at once
