Job description

CWP Energy Solutions delivers value to renewable power generators by de-risking their business and stabilizing their returns. Using cutting-edge technology, proprietary data and deep power markets expertise, our data-driven platform gives our partners the tools and intelligence to optimize the sale and purchase of their electricity while managing risks from growing grid intermittency.  We partner with renewable energy generators across North America operating in deregulated power markets—along with bitcoin miners and data centers—to maximize the returns on solar, wind, and battery storage investments and reduce power procurement costs.

We are proud of our entrepreneurial approach that encourages initiative, experimentation and risk taking. This role is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to create value in an organization that has limited red tape and join a team that operates in a startup-like environment.

  • Formulate trading strategies for customer assets and provide fundamental backing for strategy derivation.
  • Evaluate recommendations provided by the analysis team to formulate effective trading strategies.
  • Ensure trade strategies meet the client’s portfolio objectives and the risk parameters.
  • Work with the power analysts to develop forecasts and market assessments to support decision-making.
  • Design and optimize data models and analytics to extract actionable insights from power markets.
  • Leverage your asset management and market expertise to act as the subject-matter expert in sales meeting and answer technical questions about our solutions.
  • Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure optimal decision-making and develop innovative strategies.
  • Develop presentations and reports to comprehensively, and accurately share findings with clients on complex matters.
