About the role

The Global Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, and within scope and budget. The Global Senior Project Manager coordinates cross-functional and cross-regional teams and provides transparent communication to project stakeholders. The result is successfully driven initiatives that align with the Firm’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support definition of project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and track project tasks/milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Effectively analyze and report on project status.
  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of the investment.
  • Confidently remediate at risk or underperforming projects in collaboration with project teams.
  • Define project success criteria (i.e. project milestones) and communicate success criteria throughout the project life cycle.
  • Conduct lessons learned and produce recommendations for future projects.
  • Contribute to the development of the Global Project Management Office’s best practices and tools for project management.
  • Estimate resource requirements to achieve project goals.
  • Negotiate resource commitments within a project with the resources’ functional lead.
  • Make recommendations for recruiting project resources where internal resources and skillsets are not available.
  • Drive RFP / vendor selection process
  • Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and other stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture business relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate internal project resources and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role. Experience in global or multinational organizations considered an asset.
  • Formal qualifications or accreditations are considered an asset (e.g. BRMP, CBRM, MBRM, PMP, Prince2, ITIL, other).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse geographies, cultures and seniority levels
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving and influencing skills to define root causes of issues or problems and achieve successful outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing, and nurturing relationships, including effective collaboration with teams and vendors.
  • Ability to listen, build trust, and develop credibility as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Capable of setting expectations with stakeholders.
  • Methodical approach to documentation with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and quality.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.
  • Able to respond well to high pressure situations.
